Thats not to say we wouldnt take a bullet for Will but, and I get the feeling that most would agree, if he came to the rink wearing white and black stripes federal officials would find only small pieces of it – bloodstained – amid the even smaller pieces of Will casually strewn around the lockeroom. We love you, will! But, seriously, unless its an African, zoo-themed Halloween party dont wear those colors near anyone in bz red white and black.

So this is the second in our acclaimed 2 part special: “”Hockey” Blog / “Work” Blog” or, alternately, “Damn, Son, Thats A Lot Of Quotations!” The fun thing about my job is that my support may be horribly understaffed tonight and I spend a lot of time on hold. Also: breaks. I have a lot of breaks. So while i never get more than a few workds typed out at a time (and none while speaking to customers – customer service is job 1! – but yes, there is downtime enough to squeeze out some ramblings over so many hours. Gotta get more consistent! I fear I am losing my readership through sloth. Ahem. Here. We. Go.

Bladezilla 4 – Splonkers 5

Its hard to me to write about this game because that was a hard game. To watch and to recap. I dont know what changed between the last 2 games; did they just want it more tonight? Did they underestimate us on Monday (iknowright)? Did we not want it enough? Was that the same team? They certainly seemed bigger. There was less space to move – they were always on us – (45 minute break in writing where was i?) and it seemed as if they were outfighting us for the puck most of the night. Our legs couldnt have been tired! It was only a few times our legs stopped moving but it was costly. Likewise our clearning and dump ins were good but when they werent they cost us. Get that puck out! Get that puck in! These are rules to which we should all aspire.

We gave up the lead 3 times. When we get up a goal thats not the time to relax, thhats teh time to fight harder! They will.

It should also be noted the refs were a joke.Old White Man i dont have a problem with, he sees a decent sort if you do as your told. The Less White Man is pretty useless, tho. Obviously the Splonk hate him, ive never seen so much screaming without a penalty. We get penalties for badmouthing the refs. I didnt see if those plays were offside but whatever. When you go offisde just to be a dick afterwards… Well, yeah. Of course in the end its not the Splonk who the stripes fucked over. Hooking someone down during a breakaway? Thats fine, Stevie didnt kate hard enough. Slashes? Karl can take it. Slap someones stick out of their hands? Mike does need new gloves. But, hey, 2 minutes left? Up a goal? Sounds like someone needs a slashing/whatever penalty for lifting a stick. Which is apparently a penalty now. Then. Moron. Doesnt even understand his job and thats so very depressing.

So, in conclusion, fuck that game, he refs, the league for fucking with my Game Of Thrones party (48hrs notice on a weekend is enough for the enxt game right? Right?). Fuck! Fuck.
