Beer League Career
The Bladezillas (Winter 2008/2009–present)
Nick is just a man, a man who tries his hardest in-between career ending injuries.
Having joined the team for BeeZee's inaugural season, Nick's first doctor-mandated leave came in 2011 when, killing a penalty taken by Jason Martin, Nick went hard into the board legs first pulling his groin and missing the next 3 seasons in rehab.
Nick has also "exploded" a finger, broken a thumb and most recently hurt his shoulder.
Keep up the good work, Nick!
"Dewey Remembers..."
by Dewey Booth ghost-written by Jason Martin
"Look, building a roster is tough job to do - that doesn't change whether season 1 or 101 - and, sure, you can ask if we would we have signed Nick if we had a better list of names on the table - hard no there, to be clear - but we needed bodies and Nick was willing to sacrifice that body in the pursuit of greatness. And, again, to be clear: greatness in season 1 was a single win. It is what it is.
But I will be the first to admit that Nick has transitioned from a 1 way, glass-fragile player into a slightly redirected 1 way player with a heart of iron if not the bones.
Bz to the core.
Dewey-Dog, out!"
