Havoc 5 – Bladezillas 5

What would a winter season be without the Havoc? Well, yes, fun. I suppose you have to point that out. Less irritating? It has been said, I suppose. And you are right to mention that we don’t see some of the other teams as much as we’d like. Remember the Steelers? Where are they at? The old guy reminds me of my grandpa. Also? Santa.

If Santa brought goals and victory (he doesn’t unless coal-shaped).

How did it take me only 2 games to break my “next day recap” rule? And then 2 days after the Havoc we played again – what is a blogger, nay, a man – to do? Blog, I guess. It would have helped to be present at the second game but at worst that only gives me greater creative freedom.

Havoc 5 – Bladezillas 5

It’s hard to say, in some respects anyway, if we are getting better or staying the same.

We started the game out just as we planned; hours of pre-game meetings and extensive white-boarding really gave us the edge one strives for in div 10 beer league hockey. Our hats may also make us smarter, but the clinical results haven’t yet been verified.

BeeZee jumped out to a dominating, some might say commanding, lead early in the first. We were all over this team. Will.i.am.a.forward continues to score at will and his linemate Mike “Not The NHLer” Richards got a nice one as well. Both goals assisted by Dewey “This Is How I Inflate My Stats” Booth. Sean got a quick one off a mini tic-tac-goal play with Jason. Will got a second! I don’t remember it. But the stat sheet says he did, so! Tehre youhave it. 5-2 Bz after the first. What could go wrong?

The rest of the game, more or less. Mas o menos?

It is possible that we stopped skating. That is reasonable – its something we sometimes do.

It seems I cannot access the blog, again. Why am I writing this up if no one but me is going to read it? Well, that might be enough. And Dewey would make me email him, or turn the blog into a newsletter circa 1997. “The Bladezilla Times.” It would feature fan fiction and horoscopes. It would probably take 10 minutes to download at 28.8 as well.

Well, what does it matter? Let the hope that shit starts working drive me ever forward! Will Bz survive without its internet presence? One imagines.

The second period was all Havoc, scoring 2 goals.

The third period was also Havoc-centric, a final goal tying the game and sending it into overtime where nothing was decided.

So, thats a freebee, Havoc. A little pity to keep the pills away.

Don’t thank us all at once.
